To all members, adherents and supporters of Wooler United Church:
As we all know, "For everything there is a season" Ecclesiastes 3:1. The season for reopening has come to Wooler and services will begin soon.
After a year and a half of being unable to gather together, we believe that we have now reached the point that worshiping together is open to us. Covid restrictions regarding numbers and distancing will be strictly adhered. to.
We are proposing that we open the doors of Wooler United Church on Sept. 12, 2021,. Rev. Bruce Fraser will be providing us with his spiritual guidance for the first four weeks ending with communion on World Wide Communion Sunday on Oct. 3, 2021. The next two weeks are open to suggestions for pulpit coverage, possibilities are being explored but are not confirmed. Any volunteers are welcome. Our anniversary service on Oct. 24, 2021 will be with Rev. Lynn Lewis, a former minister at Wooler.
Since the dust bunnies have taken over the church, we will have a work meeting to clean the church on Aug. 21, 2021 at 9:00. Willing workers are urgently asked to respond. Please let Linda know at 613-397-2106 if you are able to help.
In order to keep the church viable and active, a congregational meeting will be called in September for an update, for future planning and all ideas will be welcomed. The date will be set and further notification will follow.
Bob and Linda have undertaken the renewal of the church services. Please feel free to respond with your feelings and guidance.
We believe that it is time for Wooler United Church to reestablish itself as a significant presence in Quinte West. With God's help and your continued support, we will go forward together.
Yours in Christ,
Bob Walt Linda Walt
